    Refunds and Returns

    Items purchased from the CFMEU Construction & General Division Victorian Tasmanian Branch, ABN 74 392 029 244, website may be returned via the post or to CFMEU store 540 Elizabeth Street Melbourne, 3000, Australia within 28 days from purchase.

    Returns via store

    You can return items that you have purchased online to the CFMEU store 540 Elizabeth Street Melbourne, 3000, Australia for an exchange or refund, but you must present proof of purchase. We will assess the items and determine whether a refund or exchange will be offered in accordance with our Refund Policy.

    Refunds will be issued in the same form of tender, e.g. if you paid for your online order through credit card you are required to present the card associated with your account in store.

    Returns via the post

    Prior to returning any items by post you must contact the CFMEU Merchandise Department by phone on (03) 9314 3334 to discuss your return.

    Subject to the above, items may be posted at your expense via Australia Post using a suitable parcel or box addressed to CFMEU Merchandise Department, 540 Elizabeth Street Melbourne, 3000, Australia

    Please note that our Refund Policy applies to the return of all products purchased from the CFMEU website

     

    CFMEU Returns Policy

    All refund rights under both State and Commonwealth law apply.

    Some guarantees in relation to the purchase of goods and services cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and failure does not amount to a major failure. If the failure is minor, we reserve our right to offer to repair only. We reserve the right to not offer a refund or exchange.

    If you have requested an exchange of a product that you’ve purchased online, we’ll do our best to fulfil your request, however please note that this is subject to stock availability.

     

    When you change your mind

    You have 28 days from the date of delivery to you to return your items for a full refund or exchange as long as it is returned in a saleable condition with original proof of purchase. The refund will be provided using your original payment method.

    Saleable condition means that the item hasn’t been opened or used, is still in its original packaging and all manuals, packaging (including but not limited to clothing tags) and accessories, are included.

    Excluded change of mind items

    The following items cannot be returned if you change your mind:

    • Undergarments
    • Swimwear
    • Socks

     

    Other products:

    Subject to you providing  proof of purchase to us, we will accept returns and provide you with a refund (refund will be provided using original payment method), exchange or repair where the item is faulty or is not of acceptable quality,  is not fit for its intended purpose or does not match the sample or our description.

    The CFMEU may elect to return the product to the manufacturer’s repair agent to determine the nature of the problem. We reserve the right not to offer an exchange, refund or repair where the item fault is a result of misuse or neglect.

    Please be aware that electronic data may be lost during the repair process of electrical and electronic products. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all personal data is deleted before return to the CFMEU.
